Brief Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi to Amboseli
Arrive in Nairobi and begin your overland drive to Amboseli, with changing landscapes along the way. In the evening, head out for your first game drive with clear views of Mount Kilimanjaro when weather permits.
Day 2 - Amboseli to Naivasha
Start with a sunrise game drive in Amboseli before driving through the dramatic Rift Valley route. Later, enjoy a guided boat safari at Lake Naivasha followed by a walking safari at Crescent Island.
Day 3 - Naivasha to Maasai Mara
Travel to Maasai Mara and settle into one of Africa's most iconic safari zones. In the evening, head out for a game drive to spot wildlife as the plains turn golden.
Day 4 - Maasai Mara
Spend a full day in Maasai Mara with extended game drives across different zones of the reserve. The route includes the Mara River region, known for dramatic wildlife sightings.
Day 5 - Maasai Mara
Continue your safari deep into Maasai Mara with another full day dedicated to wildlife tracking. Those who choose can add an optional hot air balloon ride for a unique aerial perspective.
Day 6 - Maasai Mara to Serengeti
Begin with a final morning safari in Maasai Mara, then take a bush flight into Serengeti. After arrival, head straight for an evening game drive across Tanzania's vast open plains.
Day 7 - Serengeti
Enjoy a full-day Serengeti safari with long drives through one of the world's richest wildlife ecosystems. Expect open savannah landscapes, predator sightings, and memorable photo stops.
Day 8 - Serengeti to Ngorongoro
Drive from Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro region, transitioning into a different landscape and altitude. Reach the crater rim area by evening and prepare for the next day's safari.
Day 9 - Ngorongoro to Arusha
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a compact but intense safari experience filled with diverse wildlife. After the game drive, continue by road to Arusha for the night.
Day 10 - Arusha to Zanzibar
Fly from Arusha to Zanzibar and shift from safari landscapes to Indian Ocean coastline. Transfer to your beach resort and enjoy a slower, tropical evening.
Day 11 - Zanzibar
Spend the day snorkeling around Mnemba Atoll, where waters are clear and marine life is vibrant. In the evening, enjoy a classic dhow sunset cruise along the Zanzibar coast.
Day 12 - Zanzibar
Explore historic Stone Town with its winding alleys and layered cultural history. Later, visit a spice plantation to experience Zanzibar's famous aromas and local produce.
Day 13 - Departure
After checkout, transfer for departure and close your East Africa expedition with memories from savannah safaris and island coastlines.
